Dr. Bennett is a Florida native and chief psychologist of First Coast Psychology. As a high achiever herself, she completed the highest level of education and clinical training in the field to provide evidence-based, responsive psychological care tailored to the needs of students, professionals, and high-performing individuals to promote human potential.
With more than 20 years experience in the field of psychology, she has helped individuals, teams, and organization create meaningful, lasting change. Highlights of her career include university teaching and counseling appointments, federal service supprting military veterans, work within the legal system, leadership roles for for big tech healthcare, and extensive clinical practice.

Dr. Bennett earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program at the University of Georgia, a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Florida State University. As the daughter of a U.S. Army combat veteran, she brings a personal dedication to helping those who serve others. Throughout her career, she has provided care for military personnel, veterans, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, and public servants.
During her tenure as a federal psychologist, Dr. Bennett collaborated in both clinical and leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, and the National Center for PTSD. She supported the implementation of large-scale behavioral health initiatives, including contributions to suicide prevention efforts and whole health care models that continue to inform care for veterans, service members, and large scale behavioral health programs.
Her experience in the technology and digital healthcare sector provided firsthand insight into how corporate-driven models are impacting mental health care delivery. This work strengthened her commitment to protecting client confidentiality, promoting best practices in the training and education of aspiring and current mental health clinicians, and delivering care that prioritizes human connection over metrics. It further reinforced the importance of safeguarding the ethical integrity of psychology in an era where sensitive mental health data is increasingly being used by big tech companies to train artificial intelligence and automated “chatbot” systems.
Dr. Bennett goes beyond traditional therapy with a mindfulness-based approach that honors the innate connection between mind, body, nature, animals, and our inherent connectedness to others. Addressing concerns ranging from stress, anxiety, and burnout to career development and life transitions, she meets individuals where they are on their path, offering presence, compassion, and expert guidance. Her grounded, neuropsychological-informed approach provides practical mind–brain tools that foster clarity, emotional steadiness, and renewed purpose in a down-to-Earth manner.
